YouTube is set to introduce its YouTube TV Plans starting this week, following an initial announcement in December. These bundles focus on specific genres, offering users a tailored selection of content at a reduced cost compared to the base service.
Over ten such options exist, each priced below the standard $83 monthly fee. For instance, the Sports Plan is available for $65 per month and features channels including FS1, NBC Sports Network, and the full suite of ESPN networks. For an additional $7, subscribers can upgrade to $72 monthly to incorporate news outlets like CNN and C-SPAN.
The Entertainment Plan is priced at $55 per month and encompasses channels such as Bravo, Comedy Central, FX, and Food Network, plus numerous others. An enhanced edition of this bundle, at $70 per month, expands to include family-oriented options like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, as well as additional news providers.
Opting for any of these plans retains the core benefits of a regular YouTube TV account, such as unlimited cloud DVR storage, multiview capabilities, and support for up to six users per subscription. Users seeking extras can choose premium upgrades including HBO Max, the 4K Plus feature, and NFL Sunday Ticket.
While select bundles will launch toward the end of the week, full access to all plans may require several weeks. Prospective subscribers can benefit from a promotional discount on the initial three months of service.
