X is introducing a new History tab designed to store users' bookmarks, likes, viewed articles, and long videos, providing a centralized spot for revisited content on the platform.
Nikita Bier, X's head of product, announced that the feature is now live in the iOS app. He explained that the tab aims to offer a dedicated space for engaging with extended content amid the platform's rapid timeline pace.
In a tweet, Bier stated: 'Today we're rolling out a new History tab on iOS to help you keep track of all your favorite content on X. Bookmarks, Long Videos, Articles and Likes will live here — so you can always come back and continue watching or reading. The Timeline moves fast, so we hope this...'
According to TechCrunch, this History tab replaces the previous bookmarks section. All items in it are expected to stay private, building on X's earlier decision to limit likes' visibility a few years back. Bookmarks and likes consist of user-saved posts, whereas the videos and articles include items users have encountered while browsing.
