From this summer onward, individuals using Whoop in the United States can schedule instant video meetings with qualified medical experts directly through the fitness tracking application's interface. In addition, the company specializing in wearable devices revealed on Friday the introduction of integration with Electronic Health Records (EHR), allowing subscribers and their consulting physicians to quickly access relevant health records.
"In contrast to standard medical interactions that depend on short, intermittent overviews, these sessions start with a thorough grasp of the user's wellness, driven by extended periods of ongoing monitoring data, plus relevant lab tests and past health information where possible," the firm stated in its official announcement. Details on the pricing for this offering remain undisclosed at present.
Furthermore, Whoop disclosed upcoming artificial intelligence enhancements for the application: the My Memory tool, enabling personalization of the "contextual details" influencing coaching advice, and Proactive Check-Ins, delivering suggestions for workouts and rest tailored to users' current circumstances. This update follows closely after Google's recent debut of the Fitbit Air, a display-free fitness gadget similar to Whoop's own product.
