A recent analysis by The Verge indicates that Trump Mobile has not met several initial commitments. The investigation disclosed the almost complete prototype of the T1 handset, highlighting significant shifts in both cost and production methods.

In discussions with The Verge, executives Don Hendrickson and Eric Thomas—two out of the trio leading Trump Mobile—addressed details of their debut phone. It now carries an elevated cost and will not be produced entirely in the United States. An image from the analysis depicts the updated T1 layout, where the rear cameras have shifted from an iPhone-inspired arrangement to a trio positioned unevenly in a straight line.

Regarding pricing, Hendrickson explained to The Verge that those who submitted the $100 upfront fee will receive the T1 for a total of $499 under a special launch offer, while subsequent buyers might need to pay as much as $999. Thomas noted that the device will undergo concluding assembly in Miami, departing from the original claim of being entirely designed and manufactured domestically, as stated in the debut announcement. The company's site has updated its language to emphasize 'American hands behind every device.' A launch timeline remains undisclosed, along with a confirmed cost, though the online page maintains that the T1 will arrive sometime in the coming months.
