Sony launched a $100 price cut on PS5 systems in November as part of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales event. This offer concludes at 3 a.m. Eastern Time, making it an ideal moment to purchase a gaming system, especially since further reductions seem improbable in the near term.
The standard PS5 with disc drive is priced at $450, while the digital edition costs $400. The enhanced PS5 Pro model goes for $650. These promotions are valid through Amazon as well as Sony's official store.
If these amounts appear steep, note that Sony implemented a $50 increase across consoles in August. Effectively, the $100 reductions represent about $50 savings after accounting for that adjustment. Nevertheless, lower prices remain advantageous. This positions the digital PS5 equivalent to the Xbox Series S and the disc version on par with the Switch 2.
Orders for the two basic PS5 variants will ship by December 28. In contrast, the PS5 Pro offers immediate delivery for those seeking a timely holiday present.
