Microsoft has announced the date for the annual Xbox Games Showcase, set to broadcast at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 7, during the Summer Game Fest period. The event will continue the tradition of following up with an in-depth segment on a specific title, this time focusing on Gears of War: E-Day.

The presentation and the dedicated Gears of War: E-Day segment will be offered in over 40 languages, encompassing American Sign Language and British Sign Language. An option featuring English audio descriptions will also be provided. Viewers can access the stream across multiple Xbox platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.

This event represents Xbox's primary annual presentation. It marks the debut of such a showcase under the leadership of Asha Sharma, who now heads Microsoft's gaming operations. Updates on the forthcoming Xbox console, known as Project Helix and designed to support PC titles similar to the Steam Machine, might be revealed.

Expect announcements regarding the latest Gears of War title, and a potential release window for Fable, which is planned for launch this autumn.

Release information remains pending for Minecraft Dungeons 2 and Halo: Campaign Evolved, the latter being a remastered version of the original Halo campaign. Both titles are due out this year, positioning them as strong possibilities for highlights during the event. Microsoft's upcoming lineup also features Clockwork Revolution, State of Decay 3, OD developed by Kojima Productions, and a fresh project from Toys for Bob.

Microsoft plans to revive the Xbox FanFest as an on-site gathering to celebrate the brand's 25th milestone. The event is confirmed for Los Angeles, coinciding with other Summer Game Fest activities. As noted in an Xbox Wire post, it will feature reflections on the past 25 years combined with previews of future developments.
