Although Ayaneo has shifted toward producing cost-effective portable gaming consoles in recent times, the firm remains committed to its reputation for bold and ambitious builds. Outdoing the cumbersome Legion Go 2 in scale, Ayaneo has unveiled the Next II, its newest Windows-powered gaming device.
The Next series from Ayaneo prioritizes expansive dimensions and top-tier capabilities in portable consoles. The Next II features a 9.06-inch OLED screen with 2,400 by 1,504 pixel resolution and a refresh rate ranging from 60 to 165 Hz. This high-end gadget, driven by an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and a 115 Wh power source, is built to manage intensive gaming sessions effectively. Ayaneo has withheld details on runtime, yet the sophisticated setup implies limited endurance for extended play.
Aligning with its potent hardware, the Next II uses Hall effect technology in the joysticks and triggers to avoid dead zones and resist stick drift. Inspired by the Ayaneo Kun predecessor, it offers twin adjustable touchpads for gesture-based inputs and remappable keys. The device's backside includes four supplementary buttons, plus four more that users can configure for personalized actions.
Ayaneo has yet to announce pricing for the Next II, though it may appeal to consumers open to investing near $2,000. Notably, the prior Ayaneo Kun flagship was configurable up to $1,700 in its complete form.
