The idea of relaxing on a plush lounge chair as a personal scribe diligently records every utterance has long captivated imaginations. At CES, SwitchBot presented a modern equivalent to that vision, minus the charm of the scribe, the typing machine, or the elegant seating. The firm is introducing the AI MindClip, a clip-on microphone device designed to capture and convert all spoken sounds into text.
SwitchBot is far from the only exhibitor at this year's CES promoting gadgets aimed at documenting daily reflections. However, the company aims to set its product apart via artificial intelligence that not only condenses conversations but also pulls out relevant information. According to SwitchBot's team, the device will independently generate alerts drawing from content it deems important for recall. Unfortunately, hands-on demonstrations were unavailable, leaving details on release date and pricing undisclosed.
At the very least, its price tag is likely to undercut that of a fancy lounge chair.
