The popular farming simulation game Stardew Valley continues to deliver value to its community. Individuals who purchased the title for the Nintendo Switch 2 are eligible for a no-cost enhancement that brings fresh functionalities and cooperative gameplay options.

Owners of Stardew Valley for the Switch 2 can access the Enhancement Bundle, which incorporates mouse-based navigation to simplify arranging furnishings and managing storage. Additionally, it enables local split-screen cooperation supporting as many as four participants and internet-based multiplayer accommodating up to eight users. Beyond these collaborative features, the bundle supports Game Share functionality, allowing a single purchase to enable play for up to three additional people.

Although the Enhancement Bundle offers less extensive additions compared to major version releases, early feedback from players highlights several glitches. Reports indicate that the internet multiplayer feature is malfunctioning, and certain crafting instructions display incorrect resource needs or amounts. Developer Eric Barone, widely recognized by his alias ConcernedApe, addressed the matter on X, accepting complete accountability for the errors and assuring that the team would resolve them promptly. Later in the day, he announced that the online cooperation has been corrected for versions on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2, while emphasizing ongoing probes into other problems with plans for subsequent corrections as required.

In parallel with resolving issues in the recent Enhancement Bundle, Barone and his colleagues are progressing on the forthcoming 1.7 version for Stardew Valley, as development persists on the project Haunted Chocolatier.
