The first add-on for Stalker 2, named Cost of Hope, is scheduled to launch this summer. Developers revealed the expansion and its broad availability timeline at the recent Xbox Partner Preview event.

Over a year has passed since the core title's debut, which concluded an extended production period interrupted by Russia's conflict in Ukraine, the original home of developer GSC Game World. Although a PlayStation 5 edition arrived meanwhile, the developers have primarily concentrated on creating this major content update.

In Stalker 2: Cost of Hope, players will explore two fresh areas and follow a narrative that unfolds concurrently with the main storyline. Returning as the lead character Skif, you'll mediate between the rival groups Duty and Freedom, who differ sharply in their perspectives on the Zone and strategies for engaging with it.

An accompanying announcement hinted at another upcoming DLC to finalize the complete Stalker 2 narrative as a three-part series. The survival-horror experience will extend with Cost of Hope's arrival on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox PC, standard PC, and PlayStation 5 platforms this summer.
