During a video presentation unveiling the upcoming second season for Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, 1047 Games co-founder and CEO Ian Proulx disclosed that a portion of the development team has begun efforts on an upcoming title. Proulx described the project as a movement-focused shooter drawing inspiration from Titanfall and Black Ops 3.

The studio provided limited details beyond this announcement, though interested individuals can register for future playtesting opportunities. Given that Splitgate: Arena Reloaded is only now entering its second season following its recent launch, it seems probable that announcements regarding the new game's name, promotional materials, or launch timeline will be delayed for some time.

Splitgate stands out for its effective gameplay, particularly in its innovative navigation and motion systems, positioning 1047 Games to contribute fresh concepts to the fast-paced, sliding-oriented segment of first-person shooters. However, ongoing player loyalty toward the developer remains uncertain. Over the past year, the company's management faced criticism for various missteps, including CEO Proulx's unconventional attire selections and the studio's response to related backlash. Additionally, 1047 Games encountered controversy with Splitgate 2 by initially launching it, reverting it to beta status shortly after, implementing staff reductions, and ultimately repurposing and relaunching it as Splitgate: Arena Reloaded in December.
