During its State of Play Japan presentation on Tuesday, Sony introduced fresh accessories, including an updated version of the PS5 Digital Edition exclusive to Japan. The firm also debuted a licensed PlayStation display compatible with personal computers. This 27-inch panel offers QHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh speed, HDR compatibility, and variable refresh rate technology, though it caps at 120Hz for PS5 gameplay.

Additionally, the screen includes a built-in docking mechanism for charging. This foldable arm extends from the back of the unit, allowing users to rest their DualSense controller on it for convenient recharging at any time. The device is slated for release in both the United States and Japan next year, with pricing details yet to be announced.

This monitor comes after Sony's September reveal of the Pulse Elevate compact desktop audio system. The speakers are designed for use with computers, Apple devices, PS5 consoles, and PlayStation Portal handhelds, with availability planned for 2026.

Such announcements indicate Sony's growing focus on the PC gaming market. For example, the company has lately enabled simultaneous pairing of the DualSense controller with multiple gadgets, simplifying transitions between PS5 and PC setups.
