Samsung has refreshed its Freestyle line of portable projectors for the 2026 model year. The firm unveiled the Freestyle+ version just before CES, highlighting double the illumination compared to the prior edition, reaching 430 ISO lumens, along with artificial intelligence-driven adjustments for the display. Like earlier Freestyles, the new unit features a 180-degree swivel and surround sound in all directions. It additionally integrates Q-Symphony compatibility for pairing with select Samsung audio systems. Details on other specifications or costs remain limited, though the device will make its debut at CES 2026, where further information is expected.
Earlier models in Samsung's small projector series included basic automatic adjustments such as focusing and leveling. The Freestyle+ advances this with artificial intelligence enhancements under the name AI OptiScreen. This system provides three-dimensional keystone correction to address warping on irregular or curved walls, instant refocusing during repositioning, adaptive fitting for supported add-ons, and surface tuning to minimize interference from the projection area. The projector will also incorporate Samsung's Vision AI Companion technology.
No exact launch timeline has been specified for the updated device, but Samsung plans availability in the initial months of the year. Distribution will occur in stages across international markets.
