Fans of Resident Evil Requiem seeking additional challenges beyond the Standard and Insanity difficulty levels now have access to a fresh addition from Capcom. The Leon Must Die Forever mode launches as a free update available immediately for players who have finished the primary campaign.
This new minigame challenges participants to battle escalating waves of foes and ultimately overcome the end boss within a strict time limit. It introduces tougher versions of adversaries compared to the core storyline, along with five levels of difficulty and special enhancer skills for Leon Kennedy that grow stronger with each zombie defeated. The action unfolds in familiar areas from the main adventure, offering some sense of recognition amid the intensity.
The patch also delivers essential corrections for glitches on every supported system, plus enhanced compatibility on PC for the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller's adaptive triggers, vibration features, and motion controls. Resident Evil Requiem debuted late February across PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S platforms, achieving rapid success by moving over 5 million units during its debut week. Capcom first hinted at the Leon Must Die Forever mode back in March, coinciding with news of an upcoming narrative DLC that demands considerably more development time.
