While numerous keyboards and applications exist to assist beginners in learning piano, the compact firm PopuMusic is demonstrating innovative devices at CES designed to simplify the experience. The lineup includes PartyKeys, a 36-key MIDI controller, and PartyStudio, a MIDI-compatible Bluetooth speaker that integrates effortlessly with it. What stands out about the PartyStudio is its integrated collection of 128 instrumental timbres alongside over 50 drum pattern options. It pairs naturally with the PartyKeys, yet supports connections from various MIDI controllers to access these audio features.

Pairing between the PartyStudio and PartyKeys occurs via NFC technology, requiring only a brief tap of the keyboard against the speaker. The system accommodates up to three wireless connections through Bluetooth Low-Energy MIDI, plus one additional via cable. For setups involving several keyboards, NFC enables linking up to three units, creating an expansive 108-key playing area.

The PartyStudio and PartyKeys boast a subtle yet attractive design, offered in either black or white finishes, with a solid and premium build quality. Having launched products through Kickstarter initiatives over recent years, PopuMusic, despite its modest size and recent founding, brings notable expertise to hardware development. The speaker strikes an effective compromise between mobility and audio output, equipped with dual tweeters and woofers, weighing 3.75 pounds. Measuring 13.5 inches across, 5.2 inches in height, and 4 inches in depth, it isn't overly compact for casual packing but remains convenient for transport due to its integrated handle.

An additional feature of the PartyStudio and PartyKeys lies in their accompanying software. Through a dedicated mobile application, groups can collaborate on musical tracks. The illuminated keys on the keyboard guide users on notes to press, and in multi-player scenarios, each device presents harmonious sections. It begins with basic three-note chord formations, though demonstrations also featured an engaging interface reminiscent of Guitar Hero, with scrolling notes for more complex interactions.

Pre-orders for the PartyKeys are available on Kickstarter at $199, with the PartyStudio priced at $349. PopuMusic anticipates delivering both items during the first quarter of 2026.
