NVIDIA's chief executive, Jensen Huang, informed journalists that the firm intends to allocate significant funds toward OpenAI's current fundraising effort, as noted by Bloomberg. This comes following a Friday article in The Wall Street Journal indicating that negotiations on an earlier $100 billion arrangement had stalled in initial discussions, prompting both sides to reassess. During a weekend interaction with the press in Taipei, Huang described the potential outlay as possibly NVIDIA's biggest ever.

Back in September, NVIDIA and OpenAI revealed plans for NVIDIA to commit as much as $100 billion toward constructing 10 gigawatts worth of facilities for AI data processing. At that time, the partners outlined a goal to activate the initial segment of this initiative in the latter part of 2026. Drawing from individuals close to the talks, The Wall Street Journal indicated that Huang had emphasized in confidential settings the tentative nature of the pact and expressed concerns over OpenAI's operational strategy, deeming it insufficiently structured.

Bloomberg, however, quoted Huang dismissing the Journal's assertions as unfounded. On Saturday, he shared with reporters his strong support for OpenAI, praising their groundbreaking efforts and positioning them among the era's most influential enterprises. That said, Bloomberg added that NVIDIA's contribution to the ongoing round would fall well short of the $100 billion figure.
