Motorola has entered the fray against Samsung and Google in the foldable smartphone market. During CES 2026, the company introduced the Razr Fold, marking its debut in side-folding handhelds. The device features a 6.6-inch outer display alongside an 8.1-inch bendable primary screen. Details on its size and thickness remain undisclosed, leaving comparisons to competing models unclear for now.

The Razr Fold incorporates compatibility with the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, a notable inclusion given Samsung's removal of such support from its Z Fold 7 lineup. With contemporary foldables often serving dual purposes as compact tablets, stylus functionality proves particularly useful.

Its imaging setup is comprehensive, boasting a 50MP Sony primary sensor, a 50MP lens for ultra-wide and macro shots, a 50MP telephoto option, a 32MP front camera on the exterior, and a 20MP inner selfie shooter. Video capture supports Dolby Vision standards.

The phone comes in blue and white color options. Information on processor, memory, cost, or launch timeline is not yet available. Motorola indicates further technical details will emerge over the next few months.

Although this represents Motorola's initial venture into side-folding designs, the brand has long specialized in top-folding models. Flip-style phones exemplify this tradition, and the firm keeps evolving it through its Razr series of affordable top-fold devices.
