Announcements from CES often delay details on costs and launch dates, but pricing and availability have now been disclosed for one refreshed laptop collection from this year. The 2026 edition of LG's Gram laptops is on sale, with the entry-level version priced from $1,150.

A standout addition in the latest Gram series is LG's custom aluminum-magnesium blend. Dubbed Aerominum, this innovative substance might evoke sci-fi elements from vintage comics, yet it delivers impressive results in real-world use.

During a CES 2026 preview reported by Engadget's Devindra Hardawar, the reviewer noted difficulty grasping how a sizable device could feel so featherweight. Specifically, Aerominum enables the 16-inch Gram Pro to match the weight of a 13-inch MacBook Air, known for its portability. According to LG, this alloy reduces mass while improving structural strength and resistance to scratches. All models except the Gram Book carry military-standard toughness certification.

The Gram Book serves as the budget option in the 2026 range, with a 15.6-inch configuration launching at $1,150, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The 16-inch version begins at $1,500, featuring a Ryzen AI 7 chip, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. LG positions this variant toward students and typical consumers prioritizing extended battery performance.

Higher-tier options include the 15.6-inch LG Gram at $1,600, powered by a Ryzen AI 7 450, with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. The top-end Gram Pro opens at $1,650 for its 17-inch size, including an Intel Core Ultra 7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD; the 16-inch model starts at $2,400 with a Ryzen AI 7 450, 32GB RAM, and 2TB SSD. Additionally, the 16-inch Gram Pro 2-in-1 convertible, which includes a 360-degree hinge, is priced from $2,200, boasting a Core Ultra 7, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD.

Purchases of these updated devices are possible immediately via LG's online store, with distribution expected shortly at authorized retailers. For orders placed by May 10, select configurations qualify for a one-year Premium Care package at just $1.
