LG plans to introduce its household robot, dubbed CLOiD, during CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Humanoid machines are anticipated to dominate discussions at the forthcoming electronics gathering, and the manufacturer has shared early hints of its domestic aid prior to the official launch in January.
LG describes the robot's dual flexible limbs, each fitted with five separately controlled digits, as tools for managing diverse home duties. Specific instances of chores it can perform remain undisclosed by the firm. Its overall design stays confidential, limited to a handful of detailed shots of the hands, with fuller visuals reserved for the event.
The firm positions CLOiD within its broader initiative of a “Zero Labor Home, Makes Quality Time.” This creation advances LG's objective of relieving people from the relentless burden of routine cleaning and maintenance.
Inside the robot's upper section sits its central processor, complemented by a visual interface, sound emitter, visual capture tool, and assorted detectors for facilitating animated exchanges. LG explains that the device relies on its proprietary “Affectionate Intelligence” framework to deliver impartial and accessible dialogues. Moreover, it evolves its reactions progressively through ongoing user engagements.
The annual CES showcase routinely features experimental gadgets that hint at emerging possibilities, even if many never launch commercially.
