The renowned appliance manufacturer KitchenAid has introduced its pioneering smart thermometer targeted at home chefs. The model featuring a single probe carries a price tag of $100, whereas the version with two probes is set at $200. While specifications omit a highest temperature limit, the brand indicates suitability for diverse techniques like grilling, roasting, smoking, air frying, and surface cooking.

These probes resist water and endure dishwasher cycles, with a complete battery charge supporting up to 24 hours of operation—perfect for prolonged tasks such as slow-cooking a large brisket. A fast-charging capability provides five more hours of runtime after only five minutes connected to power.

Integration with the KitchenAid mobile application delivers visual charts tracking the cooking trajectory, capacity to store as many as 20 prior sessions, along with timing tools and notifications. Alerts inform users of recipe progression points tied to specific temperatures. Relying on Bluetooth for connectivity, the unit spans up to 285 feet, and its Range Extender feature can amplify this distance via an additional online-linked device when required.

This addition from KitchenAid enters a crowded marketplace alongside devices from barbecue specialists like Meater and ThermoWorks, plus similar items from leading household brands including Whirlpool, which owns KitchenAid.
