Crimson Desert, the new prequel to Black Desert Online, appears unlikely to add support for Intel Arc graphics cards in the near future, or possibly ever. On its FAQ section, developer Pearl Abyss recommended that users anticipating such compatibility seek a refund. The firm stated that buyers who anticipated Intel Arc functionality should consult the return guidelines on their purchasing platform for possible remedies. However, this stance does not stem from any shortage of input from Intel, as the processor giant informed Wccftech it had contacted Pearl Abyss on numerous occasions during recent years.

According to the Intel representative, the firm has endeavored for an extended period to aid the studio in examining, confirming, and refining compatibility with Intel graphics solutions. Intel extended access to preliminary hardware, software drivers, and technical expertise spanning multiple GPU lines, encompassing Alchemist, Battlemage, Meteor Lake, and Lunar Lake. The company voiced significant regret over the inability of Intel hardware users to access the title, while affirming its ongoing willingness to support Pearl Abyss in any capacity. It further suggested that affected gamers contact the developer directly for clarification on the decision to omit Intel integration at release.

Pearl Abyss holds no requirement to modify the game for operation on systems equipped with Intel Arc graphics. On a positive note, with the game's launch occurring only days prior, obtaining a refund remains straightforward. On Steam, where Crimson Desert currently ranks among the leading titles by sales, returns are processed for purchases made up to 14 days earlier.
