Dyson launched the PencilVac last year, touting it as the narrowest vacuum on the market. By extension, the recently introduced PencilWash claims the distinction of being the thinnest wet floor cleaning tool available.
The PencilWash offers a compact, lightweight option for mopping that maintains top standards of cleanliness. It enables effortless access to all areas of the home with reduced effort. Similar to its vacuum counterpart in naming, the device features a handle only 1.5 inches wide and tips the scale at slightly over 2 kilograms.
This exceptionally narrow build lets the unit rest nearly flush against surfaces, facilitating cleaning in confined spaces or beneath low-lying items where bulkier models often fall short. The slim form also simplifies storage in compact living areas.
According to Dyson, the PencilWash uses solely clean water on surfaces, ensuring rapid drying once it removes messes and marks. Equipped with a dense microfiber cylinder, it manages liquid and solid messes simultaneously in a single motion. Without a standard filter, it avoids issues with accumulated grime or persistent odors.
A display for battery status sits just over the control switches, and the grip fits securely into a base station for recharging during downtime.
Priced at $349, the Dyson PencilWash lacks a confirmed launch timeline.
