Discord is enhancing its Nitro service by introducing additional benefits for members, featuring a basic version of Xbox Game Pass that resembles the Essential level, bringing the total number of Game Pass options to five. This package provides entry to over 50 titles playable on console and PC, including titles like Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Overcooked 2, and Grounded, with further additions planned in the future.

The starter Game Pass option grants 10 hours of monthly cloud gaming time, in contrast to the unlimited access in the Essential plan. Users can also stream select titles from their Xbox collection and accumulate rewards through the Xbox system.

Only Nitro subscribers lacking an active Xbox Game Pass will qualify for this introductory edition. Initially, it launches in select regions including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This Game Pass starter access forms part of Discord's fresh Nitro Rewards initiative, celebrating a decade since the program's inception. The features will roll out progressively to qualifying members in the coming weeks. Nitro pricing stays the same at $10 monthly or $100 annually, but the Basic and Classic levels do not qualify for these extras.

Additional advantages encompass reduced prices on select gaming accessories, starting with 30% savings on Logitech G products, 15% on SteelSeries items, and 20% on KontrolFreek accessories. Subscribers gain expanded opportunities to collect Orbs, which enable personalization of avatars and profiles on Discord.

In a related development, Microsoft plans to extend Discord Nitro advantages to its Game Pass users beginning in late May, providing 250 Orbs each month, bonus Orbs for finishing in-app challenges, and special offers in the Discord marketplace.
