Anthropic has broadened the range of external services available to its Claude AI assistant. Users can now integrate their profiles from platforms including AllTrails, Audible, Booking.com, Instacart, Intuit Credit Karma, Intuit TurboTax, Resy, Spotify, StubHub, Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, TripAdvisor, Uber, Uber Eats, and Viator. Further integrations are planned for upcoming releases.
Several AI developers are enhancing their compatibility with outside applications to boost overall functionality. Linking various services allows an AI assistant to handle more intricate operations for users. This update shifts Anthropic's focus from primarily work-related and learning tools, which it has emphasized over the last year, toward everyday personal uses. For example, the AI could assist in mapping out a trail via AllTrails and then select a matching Spotify music selection timed to the activity's length.
Anthropic has also adjusted the interface for these services to recommend relevant ones based on the ongoing query. Suggestions now emerge directly in the chat flow with Claude, eliminating the need to navigate separate interfaces manually. Consistent with standard AI protocols, the assistant will always seek user approval prior to completing steps such as booking or transacting.
