ASUS has partnered with Kojima Productions to create the ROG Flow Z13-KJP, a themed variant of its detachable gaming tablet that incorporates elements from the renowned game designer's works.

The internal components of this edition match those of the conventional ROG Flow Z13, which was examined in a review from May. It adopts a design reminiscent of the Surface Pro but with enhanced thickness suitable for gaming demands, positioning it as a versatile gaming tablet.

The exterior features a distinctive aesthetic aimed at enthusiasts of Kojima's universe. Influences from Death Stranding are prominent, alongside subtle nods to Metal Gear, including a gold finish, symbolic motifs, and carbon fiber elements that evoke the Ludens character. This version measures slightly bigger overall, particularly in the area of its removable keyboard.

Complementary peripherals such as a mouse, protective case, headset, and desk pad will also be offered. Availability of these items with the tablet may vary by market, and further details will be added as they become available.

Beyond its unique styling, the device delivers strong performance as a gaming system. Classified as a Copilot PC, it includes a 13.4-inch IPS display with touch capabilities, a 180Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness. Connectivity options are robust, featuring two USB 4 Type-C ports, a USB-A port, HDMI 2.1 output, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card reader. Power comes from the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with capable integrated graphics, and configurations can include up to 128GB of LPDDR5X 8000 RAM.

Details on the cost and launch timeline for the ROG Flow Z13-KJP remain undisclosed by ASUS. For insights into the base model, refer to the review by Sam Rutherford.
