The collaboration between the live event discovery service Bandsintown and Apple has a long history, yet the forthcoming iOS 26.4 update introduces their most comprehensive linkage so far. Users will soon see Bandsintown's concert schedules integrated directly into Apple Music, making it easier to discover upcoming performances by established favorites or newly found acts.
Performers relying on Bandsintown for tour promotions can leverage various tools in the Apple Music application. A dedicated Concerts section will be added to the Search function, enabling users to browse events based on genre, venue, and timing. Additionally, musicians can link their Bandsintown account to their Apple Music profile, which will populate tour information into an 'Upcoming Concerts' area within two days of the connection.
Subscribers to Apple Music can select any displayed event to access further information and purchase tickets via embedded links to vendors. Those who follow specific performers will have the option to enable alerts for newly scheduled appearances.
Bandsintown's capabilities are already embedded in several Apple products, including Shazam, Apple Maps, the Photos app, and Spotlight Search, all of which can retrieve real-time event information. These enhanced Apple Music options will roll out to devices on iOS 26.4 once the beta phase concludes.
